Where legacy meets lifestyle, 492 Roxborough Avenue stands as a bold example of what thoughtful, community-focused development can look like in a historic Roxborough neighborhood.

Set near the site of the Wood’s Barn Massacre—where American dragoons lost their lives in 1777 during the Revolutionary War—this land this land holds deep historical significance. Adjacent to the historic Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, constructed in the early 20th century, the property was at risk of overdevelopment that could have compromised the church's integrity and the neighborhood's character. Recognizing this, Baker Street Partners, in collaboration with Elfant Pontz Properties, proactively imposed a deed restriction to protect the church from demolition, locking in its protection and making sure its story wouldn’t end with a wrecking ball.

Engaging with the local community, BSP envisioned a project that would complement the existing architectural landscape. The result is 492 Roxborough Avenue—a new multifamily residence that harmoniously blends with its surroundings. The building’s brick façade is detailed with limestone accents that reflect traditional craftsmanship, while a strong, ornamental cornice gives it presence and pride on the block. Along the base, a Wissahickon schist stone wall, pays tribute to the area's architectural roots. Overlooking the Kendrick Recreation Center, this modern building offers residents a unique blend of historical reverence and contemporary living.
